Where does this post argue that there isn't those things? The poster this post was replying to said that the difference between lefties and righties is that leftists believe society is good; this definitely isn't true, and even romanticizing tribal society comes with serious pitfalls.

It suggests that society changes because its never good, which is fallacious. Society has inevitable rises, peaks and falls in its development, that is why the Marxist theory states that capitalism will inevitably fall and transition to socialism and that would peak in communism, which is Marx's predicted end point for human societal development in terms of being 'civilized' as per dialectical analysis. Leftists don't think society is inherently good, liberals and naive new-comers believe that, Any leftist or self-aware human being will know better. The point is not that society (tribalist, feudalist, capitalist whatever) was at one time good, but is now obsolete in its thinking. Dialectical Materialism outright rejects the idea of romanticization and the idea of good or evil. It is an objective analysis of historical and present cause and effect to make a predictive estimate.
